Courthouse Station MTS built a Trolley station in downtown San Diego as the new western terminus for the Orange Line. The Courthouse station enhances trolley operations for the UC San Diego Blue Line’s Trolley extension. Encanto/62nd Street Transit Oriented Development AMCAL Multi-Housing, Inc. developed a mixed-use building designed as a transit oriented development containing affordable housing apartment units and commercial space. Mid-City Centerline Rapid Freeway-level transit stations were built on State Route 15 (SR 15) at University Avenue and El Cajon Boulevard as well as transit-only lanes north of I-805 to just south of I-8. Regional Transit Fare Ordinance Update Changes to the comprehensive fare ordinance covering MTS and NCTD fares were approved and implemented between 2019 and 2021. Boulevard Bus Only Lane The Boulevard Bus Way is a three-mile dedicated lane for buses along El Cajon Blvd. between Park Blvd. and Fairmount Ave. 30th Street Bus Stop Rebalancing MTS discontinued and relocated some Route 2 and Route 6 bus stops along 30th Street in areas where bus stops were placed very closely together.
